Red Sea

When Pharaoh finally let God's people go, it seemed to be smooth sailing! All cares gone! I can't even imagine what an amazing and super-charged day of emotion it must have been! Freedom. Escape. A return home. No longer in bonds!

Yet, as they made their way toward the Red Sea circumstances changed! And fast! The Israelites seemed to be trapped - possibly even  a death trap. Mountains stood one side (with an Army on their way to destroy them) and they had run out of land. The Red Sea was before them. There was no way out. Or so it seemed.

Fear kicked in. Terror. After ALL they had suffered - was it going to end in disaster??

When they saw the army coming -- panic ensued. They said they would rather go BACK into slavery than to die or face Pharaoh's wrath.

You know how the story ends --- God parted the Red Sea and in doing so, turned the sea floor into dry land. He made a way for His people! In impossible circumstances!

The walls of sea water were also walls of protection. Walls of deliverance. Walls of direction. Walls of safety!

The God of the Red Sea -of Moses - is the SAME God we serve. Do we put our trust and faith that God will lead us during seemingly impossible circumstances?!

Sometimes 'hitting a brick wall'  might be God's hand of protection in our lives.

Keep praying. Keep moving forward. Don't look BACK at the mountain... Look AHEAD at the path God has made for you. He WILL make a way. Even when it seems impossible.

If you are facing 'a wall' right now, look for God - our Heavenly Father - to lead you out...

Look UP my friends!
